Author appcasts for your Sparkle enabled products.
SparkleCaster is an application for developers that use Sparkle. It enables you to quickly and easily create the appcasts necessary for the automatic updates in your applications to work.
Sparkle, the free framework that enables you to deliver automatic updates for your applications and more, requires you to provide information to your applications located on your users’ Macs in the form of RSS feeds with special extensions - otherwise known as an ‘appcast’.
Sparkle is a module that developers can stick in their Cocoa applications (five-step install!) to get instant self-update functionality.
Your app will be able to update itself, not just check for new versions: it’ll read the update information from an appcast on your server, download, extract, install, restart, and even offer to show the users release notes before they decide if they want to update.
SparkleCaster is open source, released under the new BSD license, which means you can grab the source code for yourselves.

SparkleCaster is being developed in my spare time, which means I’m missing out on pub time - so if you can find it in your hearts to donate a few quid towards the beer fund, that would be greatly appreciated. :-)
The latest version of the source code can be found in the Google maccode repository, or you can download the Xcode project directly - this is not updated as regularly however.
